Courses and Workshops

Courses in basic and advanced techniques are taught to small groups In London, Ontario, Canada, at industry conferences, or on-site at your workplace.

To ensure the best instructor/student ratio, courses are limited to 12 students and traditionally fill quickly.  Please register early.

For contracted courses or workshops offsite at your location a minimum of 8 students is required.  Travel expenses and shipping may apply.  Meals are not included with contracted courses.

Injury Simulation – The Foundation Course

April 8, 2018 – Fanshawe College – FULL

This is a 4 day, 32-hour extensive hands-on course designed to teach the foundations of effective injury and casualty simulation.  This course includes techniques using makeup and gel effects to simulate wounds.  Wounds include, but are not limited to, scratches, abrasions, lacerations, swelling, open and closed fractures, rashes and burns, amputations and pumping arterial bleeds.

Traditional and advanced techniques will be taught and reinforced throughout the course.  Lunch is included for courses hosted in London, Ontario.


Advanced Injury Simulation

April 10, 2018 – Fanshawe College – FULL

$150.00 plus HST

This 8-hour hands-on course expands on The Foundation Course exploring special effects and prosthetics.  Wounds include but are not limited to eviscerations, impaled objects and MCI and CBRNe simulation preparation.  Due to the advanced nature of this course, the Foundation Course must be taken as a pre-requisite.  Lunch is included for courses hosted in London, Ontario.


Injury Assistant Workshop

April 8, 2018 – Fanshawe College – FULL

May 10, 2018 – University of Western Ontario  – FULL

$125.00 plus HST

This 6-hour hands-on workshop is designed specifically for those who volunteer during exercises to assist with moulage (casualty simulation) using an assembly line technique. The basics of makeup and gel effects to simulate wounds is covered during this workshop.  Students will have a comfortable working knowledge of the process of injury simulation at the conclusion of this workshop.
